I am excited to continue our series 'a day with' with one of my current favorite New York City designers, Carlos Campos. Carlos is a Honduran-born fashion designer who launched his eponymous fashion brand in New York in 2006. Carlos grew up in a design household, inspired by his father, a master tailor. It was because of this that Carlos decided to follow in his father's footsteps to become a fashion designer. At 13, Campos left Honduras and entered the bold city of New York to pursue his own version of the American Dream. Today Carlos showcases his latest collections during New York Fashion Week and has been celebrated by notable organizations such as the CFDA. Now that I told you a little about Mr. Carlos Campos, check out how the day with this gentleman went and be sure to view his work on CarlosCampos.com
We started with an early morning bike ride to work. He was riding through the city comfortably in his Linus bike.
He sports Carlos Campos shoes for Zeeva - he took a quick break at the highland to catch up on some emails/texts.
Attention to detail is something he takes pride. He did a fitting with model Daniel MsSweeney.
One thing you must know about Carlos is that he is a very hands on designers that stays true to his craft as he is able to tackle the many aspects of designing from creating patterns to hand sketching his designs.
Carlos met with the factory owner to discuss production.
Carlos keeps a healthy lifestyle walking and biking around the city.
The day ended with Carlos meeting with his beautiful girlfriend, Megan Key, Creative Director of Dolce Vita. We can only image the conversations these two must have about designs and the world of fashion. I hope you enjoyed learning about Carlos Campos.
