Editor's Letter: The Young Issue
We are just days from the official release of the Men's Fashion Post magazine. It is our third issue and also our anniversary issue since we decided to print. After a year with our newspaper form we knew we wanted to continue to innovate ourselves and naturally the magazine was the next step. We wanted to reinvent ourselves while at the same time maintaining the essence of what made us special. As we embarked on this journey we knew we were going to encounter the hardships that current and past magazines have dealt with but we did not let that deter us from continuing the work. We understand there is a void to fill and we are here to fill it. We are here to be the young publication that started on Instagram. We are a massive group composed of millions that seek to not only better our fashion style but also enrich our lifestyle. This innovative thinking is what drew us to launch our magazine issue with young and innovative talent. The first Men’s Fashion Post magazine issue delivers talented youth unafraid to reinvent themselves, follow their dreams and work hard toward their goals.
The Young Issue, as we are calling it, has not one but two covers. Two covers with two young and talented guys. Keith Powers and Paul Jason Klein cover our issue and bring with them fresh takes on the film, music, and fashion industries. Keith Powers, a talented actor who currently stars in the hit television series “Famous In Love”, brings his charisma and expertise in the film industry. While Paul Jason Klein, American indie pop band LANY frontman, brings his endlessly creative mind and a cool raw vibe. Both guys are accompanied by other young talents who demonstrate that age is a mere number when it comes to reaching goals, attaining success, and living the dream. Young business minds behind Miansai and LES DEUX are a testament to the limitless power of the young who are driven and willing to put in the work. Our editorial, A Brotherhood, mirrors the youth today and their progressive views on being inclusive and accepting of one another regardless of their differences in fashion, background, or whatever. More young talents form part of this young issue and help emulate the fabric of the next generation. The Young Issue is here to remind you that we are all young regardless of age and it is really never a bad time to follow what you like, you enjoy, and especially what you love.
We’d like to remind you that we’re still in an unknown place when it comes to the future of print, the role of social media and the fashion industry, and just the overall archaic model to doing business for designers, brands, publications, and the rest of the people involved in the menswear world. We are in a space where rules are not really there so we can make of this what we please. Let the young talent found in these pages inspire you to make of your life what you please.
