MARKEL: Markel Williams is a an architect. He likes to build things whether its a career in modeling, a company, or a brand etc
MFP: Where you ‘discovered’ or did you put yourself out there for modeling?
MARKEL: I was discovered.
MFP: What has modeling done for you and your aspirations?
MARKEL: It gave me the opportunity to meet new people and helped the things I want in life become more obtainable.
MFP: You’re a successful model, what do you think are your personal attributes that contribute to this? Your looks? Dedication? Work habit?
MARKEL: I personally think those are all personal traits of myself that have contributed, but really I'm just being myself.
MFP: What has been the biggest misconception that people have had of you as a model?
MARKEL: That I don't do anything. I just only look good, false.
MFP: How do you handle missed opportunities or rejection?
MARKEL: You can't take anything too personal in this industry.
MFP: Has there been someone in particular that has really helped you reach goals and/or simply move forward in your career?
MARKEL: All of my agents / the people I have worked with have contributed.
MFP: What is your style like? Favorite designers/brands?
MARKEL: It varies depending on my mood each day. one day I could wear baggy pants with my Vetements boots, the next I could wear skinnier pants with my Dior chelsea boots. I really like Haider Ackerman, Raf, Archive Helmut Lang, Margiela, number (n)ine, Undercover, and American Sickness (the brand I’m currently working on).
MFP: What have you done behind the camera that people might not know about and should know about?
MARKEL: I've always been into photography and I usually carry my camera around when im out with friends
MFP: Do you see yourself doing this forever? If not, what is the plan after modeling or doing alongside modeling?
MARKEL: Probably not. I’m gonna have a few companies here and there. Dabble into acting, probably make music for fun. who knows honestly. I’m never too set on anything because just like I got scouted when I didn't have plans on modeling I've realized anything can happen in life.
MFP: You are young and successful, what message can you share with a young person that can help them have successes like you?
MARKEL: Set goals, and know the life you want to live. you don't have to know exactly what you want in life, but if you know the kind of life you want to live you will find a way to live it.
